Certificates and awards – what do they really signify?

The end of the school year is approaching fast. Soon, students will leave schools with their certificates – some with honors, others without, but all certifying the completion of the year. And how does it look in the corporate world?

Can companies also receive similar certificates? The answer is yes – such certificates are ISO 9001, ISO 14001, TAPA, GMP+, and many others, each referring to different aspects of operations. Let’s take a closer look at Visline, which has received many of these distinctions. We will find out what benefits they bring to customers, partners, and employees, and what values underlie these achievements. Details can be found in the article below.

Predictability and consistency.

Imagine we have two specialists to choose from. One does excellent work but is hard to reach, very expensive, or works slowly. The second sometimes does great work and sometimes fails, depending on the scope of tasks. The third is neither the cheapest nor the most expensive, but reliable. He always completes his tasks on time and as expected. The choice is obvious. By choosing a provider who won’t let us down, we are assured that the service will be performed without problems. Referring this analogy to Visline, one can be sure that the goods will arrive on time, undamaged, and according to established procedures. Since 2013, the company has met ISO 9001 standards, which attest to the aforementioned quality, compliance with standards, and reliability. Importantly, the certificate is not granted for life! Oh no… one must meet a number of criteria to obtain it, and most importantly, undergo an annual audit by an external auditor, who, on behalf of our clients, examines every corner of the company.

Environmental care.

Visline’s operations are based on transportation, which involves constant fuel consumption and emissions. The company is aware of its environmental impact and feels doubly responsible for its protection. Therefore, it has developed a quality and environmental policy, committing to preventing pollution and reducing the negative impact of its activities. It analyzes greenhouse gas emissions, trains drivers in eco-driving principles, and has introduced a reward system for ecological driving. Moreover, the company has modernized its headquarters towards zero emissions by installing 135 photovoltaic panels on the office building’s roof. And that’s not all, Visline also undertakes grassroots efforts by training employees in waste segregation and energy saving. The passenger car fleet has also transitioned towards electric vehicles. These actions are confirmed by the ISO 14001 certificate.

Safety.

Safety in transportation is a priority. It includes safe driving by the driver, solid vehicles, proper securing of goods, correct loading and unloading, and parking in safe places. For Visline, operating in the transport industry, the TAPA (Transported Asset Protection Association) certificate guarantees advanced cargo protection. This means that the company uses best practices and technologies to prevent theft and damage to goods. For Visline’s customers, this means increased security, credibility, and reliability, leading to peace of mind.

Safety +

Additionally, Visline is currently in the process of obtaining the AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certificate. This certificate confirms that the company meets the highest security standards (including in the workplace) and customs compliance. Obtaining AEO will contribute to even greater credibility and trust from business partners and facilitate customs procedures, translating into smoother and more efficient logistics services.

Unusual cargo, e.g., feed transport

Visline declares that it will transport any goods and deliver them anywhere. Once there was even an informal saying at Visline, “Poland – China in two hours”. While we don’t venture into Asia (yet), we undertake truly unconventional transports. On a daily basis, we generally transport neutral goods, furniture, steel, automotive parts, food products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, detergents, and many others, including feed, which also requires special control due to its food properties. Therefore, the GMP+ certificate testifies that the company meets the highest standards in transporting this type of goods.

Care for employees and people around

At Visline, people come first – this is not just a declaration, but above all an action through support at the local, national, and international levels. We do big and small things. Things that seem obvious but are not always so, at least not for everyone. First of all, we make timely payments to our employees and contractors. Fortunately, it was never needed, but we have developed anti-corruption, anti-alcohol, and anti-drug policies – we are ready to help if the need arises! We operate according to anti-discrimination and anti-bullying policies, treating employees equally, and promoting diversity and multiculturalism in the company.

We care about the development of our employees – we have introduced language courses within working hours, organize dedicated external training: industry-specific and soft skills, tailored to selected groups of employees. We enable a flexible work system, in line with the life-balance idea. We conduct development and motivational interviews with employees – both in the spirit of “coaching on the job” and systematic development interviews at the beginning of each year. To confirm the above, we regularly monitor employee satisfaction – and in these anonymous surveys, we have not recorded any comments about unequal pay, and the vast majority of the Visline team is satisfied with their salaries. We are also socially sensitive because helping brings us great joy. In this area, we operate as efficiently as in transportation. We support Ukraine by providing material resources (e.g., tourniquets) and donating cash to organizations that use it wisely.

We also help the youngest by donating money to a children’s home, which has financed computer equipment, Christmas presents, or trips to amusement parks. These activities are reflected in the certificate issued by EcoVadis examining Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Development.

All of the above make us proud, but also an obligation to further development. Therefore, we do not stop, working as best we can, analyzing, and drawing conclusions. This path we have chosen is reflected in the company’s financial results and the awards and distinctions we receive. We are the laureate of the Forbes Diamonds, Business Cheetah, Business Gazelle, and also the Top500 Ranking, XIX edition, and Top1500 Ranking.

Visline constantly strives for excellence, as evidenced by numerous certificates and awards, proving its commitment to quality, environmental protection, safety, and the development of employees and the community. This is proof of the company’s efficient operation, but it’s not all – it is also a mission to inspire others to undertake similar actions and create the business of the future.
